Once you establish these requirements and create a budget, you’ll be ready to get to work.

Choose the Right Channel

The next step when creating a PPC campaign is to pick the right channel. However, when you’re just starting out, it’s a good idea to start with Google Ads (Previously Google AdWords)

Before you go any further in the process, you’ll want to create a keyword list. The keywords will trigger the ads that will show up on visitors’ searches.

Remember you’ll be paying for these ads, so you want to make sure they’re relevant to the searches.

Create a list of keywords you think are relevant to each product or service you offer. For example, “Handyman service in south Florida.” These keywords are specific and customers might be more likely to search for it.

Begin to Create Campaigns

Once you’re set with the fundamentals, you can begin creating campaigns. The engine (if you use Google Ads) will prompt you to create campaigns and ad groups.

After this is done, you can decide when you want to release each campaign.

Focus on Writing Ad Copy

Your ad is all set, you have the keywords and great copy, so what happens when they click? The landing page is the link where they will be directed to once they click on your ad.

If your call to action encourages them to make an appointment, don’t direct them to your homepage.

Make sure you test all of the landing pages to ensure visitors don’t waste their time.
